Preschool Teacher
(Early Childhood Educator)

You will be tasked with engaging children in age- appropriate individual and group- based activities to stimulate growth in their spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, behavioral, and motor skills. We strive to foster an environment of creativity, individuality, safety, and social maturity.
In order to qualify for this position you must have the following but not limited to:
At least 12 core ECE units, or 2 years experience working in a preschool setting, or 1 year teaching. Some experience working with children 2 - 5 year olds.
Must be a born-again believer in an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
May be working on a degree in early childhood education or a related field.
Must have a solid understanding of early childhood development and education.
Must have a general understanding of technology (i.e. GSuite)
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English

K-8 Teacher’s Aid/ Extended Care
Highlands Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking spiritually mature, passionate, Teacher’s Aid/ Extended Care staff for our Kindergarten through 8th grade students. We are seeking someone who has been called to join our amazing team and minister to the Highland’s children. We are looking to hire full-time employees and have several openings available. Highlands Christian Schools is a ministry of the Church of the Highlands and by applying to this position, you are acknowledging your commitment to serving Jesus Christ within the ministry of the school. The overall goal of the job is to instruct children in activities designed to promote spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual growth by performing the following duties:
Daily Responsibilities will include:
Attends to children and ensures a well supervised environment during classroom and recess activities.
Leads prayer with students before snack time, before school or as needed.
Supervises snack time.
Manages class activities scheduled for each grade level and assists students to stay on task during scheduled homework time.
Provides conflict resolution for student altercations as they arise.
Communicates regularly with the supervisor regarding student successes, conflicts, or injuries.
Assures every student is signed in and out according to established policies and procedures.
Monitor students during recess times and enforce safety practices.
Maintaining professionalism at all times, treating students and coworkers with kindness and respect.
Flexibility in receiving direction and instruction from the direct supervisor.
Other Skills:
Classroom management skills.
Spiritual maturity and ethical decision-making.
Ability to handle difficult situations involving student discipline or parent complaints.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Flexible; able to respond to a variety of demands.
In order to qualify for this position you must have the following:
Highschool Diploma or GED
1-3 months of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
You must be a born-again believer in an active relationship with Jesus Christ
Two professional and one church references
General understanding of technology (i.e. GSuite)
You must pass State and Federal Background and Fingerprint Clearance
Fitness for Duty Clearance
TB Test Clearance

Full-time 8-hour shift Monday - Friday
Pay Range:
$18 - $22 per hour: non-exempt
