For Children Ages 2 ½ to 4 Years Old

I am Melanie Cabie, Preschool Director, and have been working for Highlands Christian Preschool for 24 years. It brings me great joy to be a part of this school. Both of my children attended the preschool and it helped them transition from home to school. The wide variety of creative activities and experiences develop a readiness for grade school.

Highlands Christian Preschool welcomes you and your child to a Christian atmosphere where love and warmth encourage your child to thrive academically, physically, spiritually and socially. Our desire is to inspire students to have fun while learning to strive for excellence and to appreciate the diversity that exists in our world today.

Our Preschool starts at 2 ½ years of age, fully potty trained and ready for the type of experience we provide. We use “Fundamentals for Young Children” as the basic curriculum. This program develops self-esteem, pre-math and phonics skills. An emphasis is placed on learning to listen, follow directions, participate in a group and socialize with adults and children.

Highlands Christian Preschool was founded in 1966. Teachers and staff are carefully selected on the basis of their education, professional training, experience and their compassionate way with children. Our staff provides a stimulating but gentle approach to academics that will help to develop a love for learning.
